Platform Support Engineer

Job Description

This role supports Teradata Platform support activity and DMTEA DAS Hadoop/Mainframe to Teradata production jobs.

Application Support

• Monitor DMTEA DAS Mainframe/Hadoop to Teradata application production jobs

• Resolve application job failures

• Track and report application SLAs

• Support Disaster Recovery testing and Load Recovery events

• Respond to Teradata user inquiry/issue/request tickets

-Respond to upstream/downstream application feed inquiries

Platform Support

• Monitor Teradata platform activity

• Manage Teradata Data Mover jobs

• Experience tuning Teradata SQL queries

• Fulfill Teradata backup/archive data restore requests

Compensation is $71.59 per hour.

Skills and Requirements

• Hands-on experience on Autosys and UNIX of 3 to 4 Years

• Hands-on experience on Hadoop of 3 to 4 Years

• JCL

• Unix/Shell Scripts

• Experience in Hive, Impala, Spark data analysis and support

• Strong SQL skills

• Experience working in global teams, cross-cultural environment.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
