Legal Assisting: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (college credit) Position Type: Adjunct (part‑time, temporary). Pay is based on official transcripts and certification. Positions may be offered at any of the three campus locations and various continuing education centers. Major Responsibilities Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines. Teach all scheduled classes, including lecture and lab sessions as assigned. Be available to support students outside of class. Maintain accurate records and uphold professional conduct and ethics. Keep current knowledge in subject areas and foster a learning environment that encourages discussion. Qualifications Degrees must be from accredited institutions. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution AND at least two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the assignment area. Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution AND at least six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the assignment area. California Community College Instructor Credential in Legal Assisting (valid for life) is preferred. Foreign degree holders must obtain a professional equivalency evaluation from a NACES or ACEI member and submit the evaluation copy. Requirements Prior to Employment Submit official transcripts. Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renewable every four years). Undergo a Live Scan fingerprinting clearance. Present original documents proving eligibility to work in the United States.
