DATA ENTRY-CE/VOC: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (non-credit) Part‑time/temporary faculty positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of adult students in achieving their educational goals. These assignments may include day, evening, weekend, and/or off‑campus classes within the San Diego Community College District. Major Responsibilities Primary duties relate to curriculum and teaching; assignments are divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines. Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics. Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas. Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member. Teach all scheduled classes. Maintain accurate records. Provide quality instruction and create an environment that encourages free discussion of ideas, interests, and issues. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught. An Associate degree and at least six (6) years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught. Equivalent education and experience that meets the above requirements. Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of students and staff. For courses in Information Processing/Keyboarding, a full‑time, clear California Designated Subjects Adult Education Teaching Credential authorizing instruction in that area. Pre‑Employment Requirements Submit official college transcripts as stated on the application. Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renewed every four years). Provide fingerprints taken by a Live Scan computer; clearance must be received before first day of employment. Present original documents proving eligibility to work in the United States.
