HOME ECONOMICS-Culinary Arts: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor POOL (non-credit) Position: Adjunct / Substitute Instructor (non-credit). Major Responsibilities Primary duties involve curriculum and teaching, with a mix of lecture and lab classes. Provide instruction in accordance with the established curriculum and course outlines. Maintain professional conduct and ethics. Keep current knowledge in the subject matter areas. Fulfill all professional responsibilities of a part‑time/temporary faculty member. Teach all scheduled classes and maintain accurate records. Create an environment that encourages student discussion and learning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions. Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics, Life Management, Family and Consumer Studies, Dietetics, Food Management, Interior Design, or Clothing and Textiles; Associate degree in the same fields AND four (4) years of professional experience related to the subject of the course taught; Equivalent foreign degree with a professional equivalency evaluation; and Demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of community college students.
