Overview Functional Job Title: Human Resources Generalist Corporate Job Title: Officer Division: HR Department: Human Resources Location: Miami Reporting Line: Vice President, Head of Human Resources Summary The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Vice President, Head of Human Resources. This position carries out tasks in the following areas: benefits administration, training, performance management, evaluations, onboarding, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance. What You'll Do Essential Duties & Responsibilities Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned: Core Duties Serve as a trusted HR partner to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Support employee relations matters by assisting with investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management processes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies; maintain accurate and confidential employee records. Provide appropriate records of all training as well as a record of personnel attendance at training sessions/programs. Additionally, ensure make up trainings are completed. Partner with management on performance reviews, corrective action documentation, and employee development initiatives. Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs. Coordinate training and development programs, including compliance training and professional development initiatives. Prepare HR reports, metrics, and documentation to support audits, leadership requests, and regulatory requirements. Assists monitoring and reviewing employee performance evaluations and ensures they are done in a timely manner. Review employee timesheets and follow up with management to ensure timesheet and PTO requests are approved in a timely manner. Process semi-monthly payroll using UKG, ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages in compliance with company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Manage payroll changes including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, and retroactive adjustments within UKG. Assist in the coordination of employee appreciation events and activities. Assists internal and external auditors providing requested documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations. Responsible for the Annual submission of the annual reports such as ACA and Non Discrimination Testing What You'll Need Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Organizational Development preferred or equivalent work experience required. SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential desirable. Two years of banking experience, and/or customer service. Minimum of two years in Human Resources. Robust understanding of general human resources policies and procedures. Good knowledge of employment/labor laws. Must be bilingual in both English and Spanish. Ability to fluently speak, understand, read and write both languages.
