Mechanical Estimator

Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator to join our team and support the delivery of large-scale mission critical and data center projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an estimator with a strong MEP/ Mechanical contracting background who understands the complexity, accuracy, and pace required within high-performance environments.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working for an mechanical contractor and a strong track record estimating complex mechanical packages from pre-construction through to project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for large-scale mission critical, data center, and commercial projects
\n
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation to develop accurate cost estimates
\n
• Experience preparing estimates across different stages of design and construction, as well as various contract delivery methods.
\n
• Build estimates, proposals, and bid submissions within required timelines
\n
• Collaborate with project teams, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
\n
• Identify cost risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
\n
• Support occasional site visits to review project requirements and validate scope
\n

Required Experience & Skills:

\n
• Previous experience as an MEP/ Mechanical Estimator working for a Mechanical contractor
\n
• Strong background estimating large mission critical and data center projects
\n
• Working knowledge of construction estimating databases and estimating tools
\n
• Proven experience completing on-screen take offs
\n
• Experience working with vendor pricing, supplier quotes, and subcontractor costs.
\n
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, construction drawings, and other technical documents.
\n
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines
\n
