Sr. T&D Estimator

Job Description

Renewyx has partnered with a national electrical contractor that delivers transmission, distribution, and substation construction projects for utility clients across the country. Responsibilities

• Build complete labor and material cost estimates for T&D and substation projects
\n
• Evaluate bid specs, drawings, and RFPs to shape accurate estimates
\n
• Run field takeoffs and quantity evaluations
\n
• Put together bid submittals, work plans, schedules, and clarifications
\n
• Get out to job sites for walks and pre-bid meetings
\n
• Lead the estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Estimating experience on transmission, distribution, or substation construction
\n
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and construction drawings and specs
\n
• Working knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods
\n
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
\n
• Comfortable traveling to project sites for walks and pre-bid meetings
\n
• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar preferred; equivalent experience considered
\n

Plus

\n
• Experience mentoring or leading other estimators
\n
• Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid
\n
• Background performing takeoffs across multiple trades, including civil, mechanical, and structural
\n
