Position Description:

\n

Senior Site Supervisor / Estimator is a full-time position that will work remotely throughout the United States located at various project sites. The Candidate will provide site supervision on environmental remediation and construction projects to ensure compliance with contract requirements. Projects will include large scale environmental remediation projects such as excavation of contaminated soils and site restoration, and construction projects including demolition, levee repair, and waterway rehabilitation.

Work will include oversight, inspections, evaluations, documentation, and reporting for environmental remediation and construction projects. The selected candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills and be detail-oriented and organized.

\n

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

\n

The following job duties are anticipated. The position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time. Work involves the following:

\n

• Estimate project costs, obtain subcontractor bids, and assist with proposal content.
\n
• Oversee job site personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and execution of the work.
\n
• Schedule and coordinate various phases of construction to meet project schedules and avoid downtime and delays.
\n
• Read, interpret, and understand contract drawings, specifications, reference codes and standards, and make suggestions and coordinate modifications in workflow or means and methods.
\n
• Ensure all work is in compliance with contract requirements.
\n
• Identifies any issues with the work and resolves any differences in a timely manner.
\n
• Prepare and/or review reports on progress, materials used, and costs.
\n
• Work with the site personnel to determine, communicate, and document deficiencies and ensure they are corrected in a timely manner.
\n
• Complete Daily Field Reports.
\n
• Ability to document and maintain red-line as-builts.
\n
• Writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to interpret written information.
\n
• Ensure company employees and subcontractors are adhering to the corporate and site-specific safety plans. Responsible for managing, implementing, and enforcing the project Site Safety and Health Plan / Accident Prevention Plan.
\n
• Identify site safety hazards and safety compliance issues and take necessary action to eliminate or minimize them.
\n
• Run site safety meetings and subcontractor orientations.
\n
• Maintain applicable safety reference materials on the job site and maintain a safety and health deficiency tracking system that monitors outstanding deficiencies until resolution.
\n
• Manage inspection items including punch-out, pre-final and finals acceptance.
\n

Experience, Education, and Skills Required:

\n

\n
• Minimum 5 years of experience overseeing remediation and/or construction activities.
\n
• Minimum 2 years of experience estimating remediation and/or construction activities.
\n
• Demonstrate initiative and the ability to problem solve.
\n
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
\n
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment.
\n
• Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens, and gets clarification, and responds well to questions.
\n
• Writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
\n
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer software used in the construction field.
\n
• Must pass background check/drug test.
\n
• Knowledge of fundamental site safety protocol.
\n
• Ability to obtain and maintain access and clearance for Federal Installations.
\n
• Must be US Citizen.
\n

Desired Skills:

\n

\n
• Experience and/or working knowledge of risk management and EM 385-1-1.
\n
• Heavy Equipment and GPS/Survey experience.
\n
• USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors certificate.
\n
• Quality Control experience.
\n
• Federal project experience.
\n
• 40-hour Hazardous Waste Operations Emergency Response as specified in 29 CFR 1910.120.
\n
• 8-hour Hazardous Waste Operations Refresher as specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200.
\n
• 30-hour OSHA Outreach Construction Training.
\n

• Travel will be required; Full-time travel expected.

Salary Range:

\n

\n
• $90,000–$130,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience.
\n
