Job Title: LPN/LVN Profession: LPN/LVN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: LPN Certifications: BLS, ACLS, cardiac monitoring Must-Have: LPN must have BLS, ACLS, and cardiac monitoring Description: General Comments: Unit Information: Cardiac Stepdown Unit Number of Beds: 18 Type of staff: Day Shift 4:1 with 1-2 Patient Care Technicians. Night Shift 4:1 with 1-2 Patient Care Technicians. Goal of team nursing: 1 RN - 1 LPN for 8 patients. EMR: MEDITECH LPN will be responsible for all patient care with the exception of assessments, documentation of discharge, restraints, and setup of blood administration. LPN will work in a team nursing model with an RN to care for 8 medical stepdown patients, in which the RN will be responsible for all assessments. LPN will be responsible for medication administration, wound care, and other patient care as needed. In addition to the RN/LPN team, there will also be a Patient Care Technician to assist with patient care, vitals, etc. Dress Code: Scrub Color: Navy Blue No unacceptable attire.
