Identifying and pursuing industrial Hygiene consulting opportunities. Performing IH field work and developing written reports. Providing HSE technical contractual activities on one or more projects of various sizes. Working with project managers or leads on field construction efforts, design phase services and all subcontracting as well as participating in all major technical, cost, scheduling and performance decisions. Working with project managers to incorporate HSE considerations during and throughout design and construction efforts. Recognizing and communicating scope and design changes promptly. Coordinating work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead. Consulting with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for the scheduled completion of projects. Ideal Background Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in industrial Hygiene (BS or MSPH) from an accredited university is required. Certification: Certification in Industrial Hygiene (CIH) or ability to earn same within a reasonable period of time is required. Experience: This position requires 10 or more years of relevant Industrial Hygiene consulting experience. Job Summary Generally responsible for the identification and development of consulting relationships in Industrial Hygiene with, and providing services to, current and new clients. This work will be performed independently but with general guidelines from the HSE Consulting Services Leader. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required Working knowledge of Industrial Hygiene principles and practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects efficiently. Ability to design an HSE project, conduct required activities and construct a meaningful report for clients. Ability to lead a team to deliver on commitments. Excellent presentation skills. Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry in excess of 25 lbs. Ability to climb ladders or perform duties utilizing a safety harness while working at elevated heights. Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment. Ability to perform work outdoors or in process units in hot or cold climates. Ability to perform duties within confined spaces for extended periods of time. Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs and hard hat.
