In the Insurance Verification role, you will be trained to effectively investigate benefits and eligibility with insurance plans throughout the country. In the Scheduling Coordinator's role, you will be trained to effectively schedule across multiple clinics and providers throughout the valley. Our team members have the right skills to thoroughly research and identify the critical details our patients need to know in order to make informed decisions regarding their care.What You'll be DoingAccurately verify benefits and eligibility to ensure that our patients can make informed decisions in regard to the cost associated with their healthcare plan.Research, review, and effectively document benefits and eligibility within our systems.Effectively communicate verification information both internally and externally to ensure that coverage is in place and claims are paying accurately.Successfully schedule our patients with the goal of exceeding their expectations timely, convenient, and with the right provider or specialist.Provides an exceptional level of customer service to referring providers and patients by functioning as central point of contact to determine the most appropriate clinic for the patient and schedule an evaluation within 48 hours.Provides a communication hub to and from the company, patients, clinic teams, referring providers, and payers in regard to insurance plan and benefit knowledge.Act as a resource for insurance-related questions and needs, as a subject-matter expert and specialist in their field.Process new patient enrollments in a timely manner ensuring accuracy of data entry and communication of information by being in constant communication with all Spooner clinics in order to facilitate a smooth transition for the patient.Develop a seamless relationship between the Central Client Services team and the Revenue Cycle Management team to ensure efficiency and value in reimbursements.Obtain initial insurance authorization when required for all new patients/initial evaluations.Ensure all patient records are accurate, complete, compliant, current and managed.What You Can ExpectA team environment that fosters continuous learning and fun.A 6-month onboarding program.What You Bring to the RoleAbility to work under pressure and remain flexible to changing schedules and demandsExcellent customer service skillsExcellent oral and written communication and listening skillsAbility to clearly and effectively communicate to both external and internal customersExcellent organizational skills (multi-tasking, prioritizing and following up)Demonstration of teamwork and initiative to get the job doneAbility to apply common sense, understanding, and problem solving to daily activities1-2 years Scheduling/Verifications experience preferredBilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferredMust sign up for ID.me within 30 days of hireAbout SpoonerSpooner is a place for professionals with a growth mindset who want to push themselves to achieve excellence.
