Forming Line Machine Operator
Location: De Soto, KS
Compensation: $17.50 per hour
Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., rotating; 12-hour shifts with overtime as needed
You arrive on the production floor for the 7 a.m. start, review the day’s run sheet, and bring your forming machine online. You verify safety guards, complete a quick once-over on belts and tooling, and set up the equipment for the first production run. Through the day, you keep the line moving—making minor adjustments, swapping ring stock rolls and cases when needed, and keeping your area orderly. You watch quality, follow all safety and company procedures, and help with small preventive maintenance tasks. When overtime is needed, you’re ready to support the team so customer orders ship on time.
What you’ll do- Operate and monitor various forming machines to meet production targets
- Perform minor machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Lift and handle ring stock rolls and cases safely
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all machine and facility safety guidelines
- Adhere to company policies and standard operating procedures
- Work a 12-hour rotating schedule; overtime as required
- Manufacturing environment experience preferred
- Comfort with frequent physical activity: lift up to 40 lbs.; stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, crouch; push/pull; reach above shoulders; strong hand/finger dexterity
- Proficiency in machine setups for production runs
