SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST LEVEL 3, FMFH - SURGERY

Job Summary As a member of the healthcare team, you collaborate with the surgical team to provide care for patients, ensuring that the goals of the patients are met and the mission of the hospital is carried out. Experience A minimum of 1 year of surgical experience is required. Experience can come in any combination in a role as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician. Education High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post‑high school education, certification or diploma is required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, a Military Operating Room Specialist course, or the Froedtert Health sponsored Apprentice II program is required. Licensure Certification as a Surgical Technologist is required. Surgical Technologist Level 3 staff, or above, with a date of hire or adjusted date of hire prior to 8/1/2020 are not required to be certified, as long as they meet the criteria in the job description. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Shift Details Primarily four 10‑hour shifts (8:00 am – 6:30 pm) with occasional early PM shift to cover colleagues' PTO (advanced notification provided). Responsible for weeknight, weekend and holiday on‑call rotation. Orientation will include 30‑day rotation on PM shift.
