Position Details

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using trusted assessment tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that serve both immediate objectives and longer-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy focused on enhancing communication, language skills, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing mechanisms.
• Partner closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to forge cohesive healthcare plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to facilitate ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist with rare inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout all phases of treatment.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that conforms to all regulatory and organizational guidelines.
• Stay abreast of developments in the field through continuous education and collaborative discussions with colleagues.

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
