Description

• Conduct evaluations on patients across all age groups—pediatric, adult, and geriatric—using both standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Create individualized treatment strategies that focus on both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focused specifically on communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
• Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers to develop unified care approaches.
• Provide education to patients and families to bolster progress in their communication journey outside of therapy sessions.
• Assist with occasional inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, ensuring patients receive seamless care throughout their treatment process.
• Maintain consistent and precise documentation according to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of the latest advancements in the field through ongoing professional development and collaboration with peers.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited graduate program.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

• Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
• Preferred possession of the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of joining the team.
