FLSA Status: Non-exemptSummary: Under General supervision, work on the production line to build manufactured housing as part of a team, and perform quality work safely, in a fast-moving and consistent manner.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Performs all manual labor in the area to which assigned.Keeps area neat and clean.Read and use a tape measureRead blueprints and ordersCommunicate well with coworkersUse hand tools, air tools, and electrical toolsBe here every day, on time - attendance mattersWillingness to help others and learn new skillsCompetencies Must have a strong work ethicMust have the ability to work quickly and methodicallyMust understand safety proceduresMust have good teamwork skillsMust have excellent attendanceMust live the Champion Operating PrinciplesQualificationsAny specialized construction/manufacturing experience is highly preferred and will be given priority considerationLess than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Previous experience in manufacturing/modular housing is desired.Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
