Human Resources Specialist (Employee Benefits)

Job TitleIncumbent typical work assignments may include the following:Develops and implements agency-wide guidance, methods, and procedures for various employee benefit and services programs.Performs assignments based on the analysis of operational effects of changes in laws or regulations governing employee benefits, drawing conclusions and proposing appropriate courses of action.Provides technical advice and guidance to employees, supervisors, and management on a range of employee benefits, services, and work-life programs, including representing management in third-party hearings.Applies fact-finding, analytical, and problem-solving techniques to address and resolve a variety of conventional issues and problems related to employee benefits.Establishes and maintains effective relationships with employees and management to gain cooperation on difficult issues, and prepares and presents findings and guidance on sensitive actions.
