Technical ManagerWe are seeking an experienced SAP FI Functional Subject Matter Expert with strong knowledge of financial accounting processes and hands-on experience in integrating SAP with US banking platforms, taxation solutions, and budgeting systems. The role will be responsible for solution design, configuration, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of SAP Finance processes. The candidate will collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, Sales, Banking, Integration, and Technical teams to deliver compliant, scalable, and business-aligned financial solutions.Key Responsibilities1. SAP Financial AccountingServe as the functional SME for SAP FI processes across: General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Tax Accounting, Financial Closing and Reporting.Configure and support company codes, fiscal-year variants, posting periods, document types, account groups, field-status variants, and financial statement versions.Support parallel accounting, multiple currencies, intercompany accounting, allocations, accruals, recurring entries, and balance-sheet reconciliations.Ensure accurate posting and reconciliation across SAP FI and integrated business functions.Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.2. US Banking IntegrationsDesign, configure, and support integrations between SAP and US banks for incoming and outgoing payment processes.Work with banking formats and connectivity methods, including ACH, Wire transfers, Checks and positive pay, Lockbox processing, Bank statements, Payment acknowledgements and return files, Host-to-host and API-based bank connectivity.Configure and support the Automatic Payment Program and payment methods for domestic and international payments.Support bank master data, house banks, bank accounts, routing numbers, payment instructions, and approval workflows.Configure and troubleshoot Electronic Bank Statement processing and automated bank reconciliation.Support lockbox file processing, customer receipt application, payment-on-account handling, deductions, and unapplied cash.Coordinate bank onboarding, connectivity testing, file validation, certification, cutover, and production support.Work with Treasury, banks, security teams, and middleware teams to implement secure banking integrations.Ensure appropriate controls for payment approvals, segregation of duties, fraud prevention, encryption, and audit traceability.3. Taxation CycleProvide functional expertise across the end-to-end US taxation cycle, including tax determination, calculation, posting, reporting, reconciliation, and adjustments.Configure and support: Input and output tax, Sales and use tax, Withholding tax, Vendor and customer tax classifications, Tax codes and tax accounts, Tax jurisdiction requirements.Support integration with external tax engines such as Vertex or equivalent solutions.Work with Tax, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Sales, and Technical teams to resolve tax calculation and posting issues.Support tax accruals, use-tax self-assessment, tax adjustments, exemptions, and reconciliation between SAP and external tax systems.Assist with statutory reporting, audit requests, and extraction of tax-related financial data.Ensure that the SAP solution is aligned with approved organizational policies and applicable tax requirements.Coordinate with Tax and Compliance teams to assess and implement regulatory or business-driven changes.4. Budgeting and Financial PlanningSupport annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and budget revision processes.Work with Finance and business stakeholders to define: Budget structures, Cost centers and profit centers, Internal orders, Accounts and planning categories, Budget versions, Approval workflows.Configure or support budget availability checks, tolerance limits, budget transfers, supplements, returns, and period controls.Support budget-versus-actual reporting and provide visibility into commitments, expenses, and available budgets.Facilitate integration between SAP FI and budgeting or planning solutions such as SAP CO, Funds Management, SAP Analytics Cloud, BPC, or other enterprise planning applications.Support budget uploads, validations, allocations, version control, and reconciliation with the General Ledger.Analyze budget overruns and posting failures, and recommend appropriate corrective actions and controls.Develop functional requirements for budgeting reports, dashboards, and management insights.5.
