Business Operations Manager

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for developing, leading, and continuously improving the organization's knowledge management and operational programs.This role serves as the owner of the company's internal knowledge ecosystem by designing systems that improve how information is created, organized, shared, and maintained across the business. The position works cross-functionally with all departments to improve operational efficiency, strengthen collaboration, drive AI and technology adoption, and implement scalable business processes that support organizational growth.The Business Operations Manager is expected to operate independently, identify opportunities for improvement, lead initiatives from concept through implementation, and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on operational effectiveness and organizational knowledge strategy.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesKnowledge Management LeadershipDevelop and execute the company's Knowledge Management Strategy and RoadmapEstablish governance standards for documentation, version control, retention, and information architectureOwn the Employee Resources portal and all knowledge repositoriesDevelop standardized templates, playbooks, SOPs, policies, and documentation standardsConduct routine audits to ensure documentation remains accurate, current, and accessibleMeasure knowledge utilization and recommend continuous improvementsAI & Technology AdoptionEvaluate emerging technologies and AI tools that improve productivityAdvise with department leaders to implement digital solutionsDevelop governance for AI usage across the organizationLead adoption initiatives for new operational technologiesTrain employees on effective technology utilizationOrganizational EffectivenessCollaborate with department leaders to improve collaboration across teamsFacilitate knowledge sharing initiativesGuide organizational change management effortsImprove communication flow between departmentsIdentify risks related to knowledge loss and succession planningTraining & DevelopmentDesign and deliver employee training on knowledge management systems and operational processesDevelop onboarding programs focused on operational readinessMaintain training documentation and learning resourcesIdentify and coordinate continuous learning initiativesProject LeadershipLead cross-functional operational initiativesDevelop project plans, timelines, and success metricsGuide stakeholders throughout implementationReport progress and recommendations to executive leadershipEnsure successful adoption of new processesCulture & Employee ExperienceDevelop initiatives that encourage collaboration and knowledge sharingDrive company culture through engagement activitiesPromote continuous improvement throughout the organizationJob Requirements / QualificationsMaster’s degree in information & knowledge strategy, operations management or information systems 3–5 years of operations, knowledge management, business operations, project management, or organizational effectiveness experienceExperience leading cross-functional initiativesExperience developing business processes and documentationExperience implementing operational improvementsExperience delivering employee training.
