Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Hold a valid teaching credential in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Demonstrated success with differentiated instruction for students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
• Knowledge of current best-practices, behavioral interventions, and adaptive teaching tools
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
• Collaborative approach to working with colleagues, support providers, and administrators

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on curriculum standards and IEP goals
• Develop positive classroom management strategies for a supportive learning environment
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies to meet diverse learning needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions
• Work closely with general education teachers and specialists to maximize student inclusion and success
