Sr. CNC Programmer

ResponsibilitiesCreate and edit CNC programs for 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers.Develop machining strategies, tool paths, and setup documentation for complex components.Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.Support machinists during machine setup, prove-outs, and production runs.Troubleshoot machining, programming, and quality issues as they arise.Optimize existing programs to improve cycle times, quality, and efficiency.Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on new product launches and process improvements.Ensure all programs meet quality, safety, and production requirements.Maintain organized program files, tooling records, and process documentation.Qualifications3+ years of CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment.Hands-on experience programming true simultaneous 5-axis machining centers.Proficiency with CAM software such as Mastercam, Tebis, HyperMill, NX, Fusion 360, or similar.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T.Strong understanding of cutting tools, workholding, feeds, speeds, and machining practices.Experience with machine setup, prove-outs, and process optimization.Familiarity with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with aerospace, defense, automotive, medical, or precision machining industries.Exposure to automation, probing systems, and CMM inspection equipment.Experience supporting new machine installations and process development.Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr Torrey Holistics
