Job Description
The CNC Machinist Programmer is responsible for independently programming and operating a variety of CNC machines including Vertical Machining Centers and Turn/Mill machines in a custom job shop environment. This role requires expertise in CAD/CAM programming and precision machining to deliver high-quality, custom-manufactured components with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers and Turn/Mill machines
- Create and optimize CAD/CAM programs for custom manufacturing jobs
- Set up and run CNC lathe and milling equipment accurately and efficiently
- Interpret blueprints and technical specifications for precise machining
- Perform quality checks using precision measurement tools
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to ensure product quality
- Maintain CNC machinery and update programs as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in CNC programming
- Proficient with CAM software and CNC Lathe operations
- Experience with Vertical Machining and Turn/Mill machines
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Highly accurate in precision measurement techniques
- Excellent problem-solving abilities
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality output
