Laboratory Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor in Burlington, NC to prepare, handle, and route biological specimens for testing. The role involves unpacking, labeling, packing, and shipping samples while maintaining accurate records and meeting production targets on a Sunday-Thursday evening shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking and routing to staging areas
• Accurately identify, label, pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Resolve and document problem specimens
• Meet department activity and production goals

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to accurately identify and handle biological specimens
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Pass standardized color blindness test
• Attention to detail with capability to multitask and prioritize
• Physical capability to perform job demands
• Preferred: 3+ months specimen processing or laboratory experience
