Lab Assistant

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant in Burlington, NC for overnight shifts (9pm-5:30am) to process and prepare clinical specimens, maintain laboratory equipment, and perform data entry. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan specimen information and perform data entry of patient records
• Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment; troubleshoot specimen-related issues
• Maintain clean, safe work environment and replenish test bench supplies
• Complete administrative logs and follow all safety and quality procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Comfortable handling biological specimens and identifying them accurately
• Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Physical capability to meet job demands; flexibility for overtime shifts
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 3+ months specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience (preferred)
