Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key client contacts and decision-makers. Conduct regular visits, account reviews, and strategic check-ins at customer locations. Serve as a primary point of contact for client needs, questions, and opportunities. Proactively assess customer satisfaction and identify potential retention risks. Partner with operations and other internal departments to coordinate solutions and ensure client expectations are consistently met. Identify opportunities to expand services and increase revenue within existing customer accounts. Generate new business through targeted prospecting, referrals, networking, community involvement, and direct outreach. Lead prospective clients through the sales process, including discovery, solution development, presentations, proposals, follow-up, and implementation handoff. Develop a comprehensive understanding of each client's workplace, employee population, operational requirements, and service objectives. Maintain an accurate and well-managed pipeline of prospects, opportunities, and account-development activities. Document customer interactions and sales activity within the company's CRM platform. Monitor competitive activity and evolving customer needs within Maumee Valley Group's markets. Represent Maumee Valley Group professionally at customer meetings, industry events, and community functions. Qualifications Professional experience in business development, B2B sales, account management, customer success, or a comparable client-facing position. Demonstrated ability to develop relationships, retain customers, and generate revenue growth. Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. A high level of professionalism, accountability, and attention to detail. Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships and sales opportunities simultaneously. A proactive, solutions-oriented approach to customer service and problem resolution. Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through capabilities. Proficiency with CRM platforms and standard business technology. Ability and willingness to travel regularly to customer and prospective client locations. Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record. Experience in workplace food service, vending, hospitality, facilities services, or another service-based industry is preferred but not required.
