JOB SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable Collections Specialist is responsible for managing the full billing and collections cycle for construction services, ensuring timely invoicing for roofing projects, maintaining accurate financial records and fostering positive customer relationships.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Managing Accounts Receivable : Monitors customer accounts, tracks overdue balances, posts payments to ERP systems, and reconciles accounts to ensure accuracy in financial records. In addition, process invoices, statements, and receipts, and account setups for new customers.
- Collections : A core function is actively following up on overdue accounts and resolving disputes with professionalism. This requires strong communication and customer service skills to maintain positive client relationships while ensuring timely collections .
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare AR reports, including aging summaries, collection progress, and key performance indicators, supporting management decisions and month-end or year-end closing processes.
- Compliance : Ensure all AR processes comply with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable regulations.
- Collaboration and Escalation : Work with internal teams such as finance, accounting, and customer service to escalate issues and/ or delinquent accounts.
- Process Improvement and Technology Use: Leverage ERP systems, automation tools, and analytics to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance reporting capabilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years experience in accounts receivable.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and AR processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
- Ability to multiple accounts and deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality of financial data.
