IT Operations Manager

Job Summary IT Operations Manager reporting directly to the Senior Director, CIO at X‑Rite Pantone, a Veralto company. The role focuses on designing, securing, and maintaining the company’s core technology landscape, ensuring high system availability, cyber‑security compliance, and cost‑effective operations while delivering service, support, reliability, and performance. The position is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and will operate in a hybrid capacity, US‑only. Responsibilities Lead the IT Infrastructure team, prioritizing work, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing change, incident, and problem management. Serve as the primary contact for internal and external customers, coordinating activities that support technology strategies and projects. Provide technical expertise across development and support of existing and future technology strategies, participating in the system development life‑cycle (requirements, analysis, design, development, documentation, implementation, testing, debugging). Oversee the design, installation, and maintenance of physical and cloud‑based networks, storage, and servers, ensuring high reliability and strict cyber‑security standards. Manage the help‑desk team to deliver prompt, reliable, friendly service and support. Assist the CIO in aligning the IT technology roadmap with organizational goals and delivering key projects on‑time and under budget. Develop and maintain infrastructure technology documentation standards and performance‑monitoring benchmarks. Continuously monitor X‑Rite’s network security and communicate potential liabilities to relevant parties. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 5+ years of experience in systems administration, network engineering, or related IT roles, or equivalent work experience. Deep understanding of enterprise networks, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Microsoft technologies, cybersecurity protocols, BCP, FinOps, and artificial intelligence. Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., ITIL, CCNP, PMP, AWS/Microsoft cloud qualifications). Previous people‑management experience in an IT and manufacturing environment. Compensation Annual salary range: $120,000 – $130,000 USD. Eligible for bonus pay. The compensation range may be modified in the future based on qualifications, experience, and performance.
