Make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment, utilizing your expertise in physical therapy to support students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and extends through May 21, 2027, offering a consistent part-time schedule of 20 hours per week over 2.5 days. You’ll work with a diverse caseload, focusing on evaluations and overseeing the work of a PTA.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license or certification
- Previous experience in school-based physical therapy settings preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy needs, K-12
- Ability to conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
- Familiarity with supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to students, supporting access to their educational environment
- Complete detailed assessments and create tailored intervention plans
- Supervise and guide a PTA to ensure quality service and compliance
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and adhere to federal, state, and local policies
