As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Healthcare Patrol Response in Westwood, NJ , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed03:00 PM - 11:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner while following established hospital protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including entrances, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate hospital personnel and/or Allied Universal leadership. Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site‑specific procedures. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Possession of a guard card or license is preferred. Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
