Job Title: Lead CMT Technician

Job Description

The CMT Technician performs a wide range of construction materials testing and special inspections in the field, with a focus on reinforcing steel, masonry, soils, and concrete. This role combines hands-on testing, detailed documentation, and direct communication with project stakeholders, while providing guidance to less experienced technicians. It offers the opportunity to work independently, manage a structured daily schedule, and grow professionally through advanced certifications in construction materials testing and special inspections. We are looking for entry candidates who have a construction industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field testing and inspection activities on active construction sites
• Support concrete, soils, and general construction materials testing
• Work around contractors, equipment, weather conditions, and changing jobsite needs
• Collect samples, perform basic testing, and document results under direction
• Travel to job sites based on project needs
• Work long hours or random hours as required by construction schedules
• Learn field procedures, safety expectations, and testing documentation standards

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• ACI certification required

• ICC certifications are highly preferred

• Prior Construction Materials Testing experience required

• Familiarity with soils, masonry, concrete, and reinforcing steel inspections

• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites

• Comfortable working outdoors and around active construction environments

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, OK.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
