TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Neuro RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87102!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent experience required. License: Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start). Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required. CPI preferred. Must-Have: Nurse to patient ratios of 1:6. Experience with Epic charting system. Travel experience required. Previous charge experience preferred. Description: This position involves working in a Medical Surgical unit. The role includes providing patient care for adults and geriatrics. The unit has a daily census of 32 patients. Staffing ratios during the day shift are 1 nurse to 6 patients. The unit accepts first-time travelers. There is no call requirement or mandatory floating outside like units. Nurses are expected to handle blood product administration, central line blood draws, care for surgical drains, and wound care. Additional skills required include proficiency in insulin management, high flow nasal cannula, and phlebotomy. Nurses will be involved in rapid response team activations as needed. There are 32 beds on the unit. Each nurse will be scheduled for 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period. All staff are expected to follow isolation precautions and proper PPE use. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various allied health professionals as needed. There will be brief orientation upon starting the assignment. Modules will be completed onsite during this time. Registered Nurses are expected to comply with all facility policies and regulations.
