Our community health clinic utilizes a variety of telehealth platforms, allowing our Licensed Mental Health Counselors to connect with clients seamlessly. The role demands adaptability to meet patient needs, with a standard work schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. While the position is remote, attendance at occasional team meetings or training sessions may be necessary to reinforce our commitment to continuous professional development. Key Responsibilities\n As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include: \n \n Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments that are culturally sensitive to the individual experiences of each patient. \n Developing personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions that consider the client’s cultural background and personal circumstances. \n Facilitating individual, family, and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing a range of mental health issues, promoting resilience, and enhancing overall well-being. \n Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to deliver holistic care to clients. \n Providing crisis intervention during acute mental health emergencies, ensuring timely support for patients in distress. \n Educating clients and their families on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources that can aid in their journey toward healing. \n Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines, thereby ensuring consistent follow-up care. \n Actively participating in team conferences, cultural competency training, and staying updated on best practices and current research in mental health. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n Your practice will focus on serving a diverse clientele, including ethnic and cultural minorities, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals from immigrant backgrounds. By leveraging your cultural competence and empathy, you will help break down barriers to mental health care and promote access to essential services for underrepresented populations. Qualifications\n \n A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required; however, a higher degree (Master's or Doctorate) is preferred. \n Must hold a current state license to practice as a mental health counselor. \n Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural dynamics in mental health care. \n Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey therapeutic concepts and engage clients. \n Preferred Experience\n While not mandatory, prior experience in a community health setting, outpatient care, or working specifically with multicultural populations will be highly valued. Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or solution-focused therapy, will greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role. Compensation and Benefits\n The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
