Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), your primary responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining a manageable caseload of clients and establishing strong therapeutic relationships grounded in professional ethics and boundaries.

• Conducting regular therapeutic sessions to assess client progress, stability, and readiness for discharge, while ensuring their ongoing support.

• Developing, implementing, and closely monitoring individualized treatment plans that align with each client’s specific goals and needs.

• Documenting progress notes and maintaining accurate records for each client in compliance with healthcare regulations, ensuring confidentiality and security.

• Performing comprehensive intake assessments to understand new clients' mental health histories and needs.
\n
• Conducting one-on-one therapy sessions each week, utilizing best practices to foster client engagement and progress.

• Engaging in regular supervision meetings for personal and professional development while contributing to team discussions and collaborative care efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on a diverse array of client presentations, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and other mental health challenges. The use of telehealth technology allows for greater flexibility in reaching clients, including those who may face barriers to traditional in-person therapy.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in mental health counseling or a related field.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York.

• Demonstrated ability to meet internal credentialing requirements in various clinical settings.

• A minimum of one year of experience working with psychiatric clients and/or substance abuse populations, providing direct psychological care.

• Proficiency in assessment, diagnosis, and delivering both individual and group therapy.
