Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist - Inpatient to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center. To this day, Jacobi remains a respected leader in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details

• Report to the Director of Inpatient Services.
• Responsibility for overall clinical care and educational activities on a 24-bed acute Adult Inpatient Unit, including leadership of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Represent the Department in all activities related to clinical care and documentation of care, performance improvement, regulatory compliance, Resident and Medical Student education, and continuing surveillance of the professional performance of clinical team.
• Conduct staff meetings, and clinical conferences; collect pertinent data and complete investigations and reports; and integrate and coordinate the unit’s activities with hospital and department programs (patient care, research, and community health programs).
• Participate in our innovative integrative care activities.
• Communicate with patient support system including family, friends, health care proxy, case workers, residence staff.
• Direct supervision of Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychiatric PA staff, and Medical Students.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License.

Wages and Benefits include

• Annual Base Salary: $267,900* (board eligible); $278,200* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $438,690** (board eligible) and $450,020** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below.
• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
