Accounting Manager

This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and enjoys balancing both strategic and operational responsibilities. Responsibilities Manage the month-end and year-end close process Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and compliance functions Review subcontractor billings, job cost reporting, and contract accounting activities Ensure compliance with union payroll and labor compliance requirements Support financial reporting, reconciliations, and audit requests Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff Partner with operations and project management teams to support business objectives Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability Qualifications 5+ years of construction accounting experience Experience working for a General Contractor (GC) is required Strong understanding of month-end close, job costing, subcontractor billing, and compliance Knowledge of labor compliance and union payroll requirements Experience managing AP, AR, payroll, and accounting operations Hands-on leadership style with the ability to support daily transactional activities when needed Experience with Vista by Viewpoint is required Beacon Hill is an equal opportunity employer and individuals with disabilities and/or protected veterans are encouraged to apply.
