SUPPLY CHAIN ASSOCIATE

Physical Condition Under general supervision, assists in maintaining the efficient operation of the storeroom and distribution areas in acquiring, storing, controlling, and delivering material throughout the hospital. The incumbent maintains adequate inventory levels through ordering, put away, and dispensing of supplies. Essential Job Functions Ensures that all receiving functions are carried out. Unpack items received and inspect for damage or defects. Verify accuracy of shipment and reconcile with purchase order. Record any damage or discrepancies with the Procurement Office. Perform all necessary receiving operations via computer and handheld devices, ensuring safety and proper use of industrial equipment. Maintains storeroom and distribution area. Store items according to established procedures in the proper location. Keep the environment clean, safe, and secure. Organize daily receipts and adjust stock locations as needed. Ensures that all delivery functions are completed. Deliver premium freight orders on the same day. Prepare picking lists, confirmations, and delivery receipts for requisitions. Use delivery vehicles to transport products to offsite locations. Operate industrial equipment safely while performing delivery operations. Assures that inventory is appropriate and correct. Report the need for additional supplies and assist in performing weekly cycle counts for selected items. Rotate stock to reduce outdated material and cooperate with the supervisor and Procurement Office to address shortages and damages. Conduct a physical count of stock on hand twice a year to verify inventory totals. Maintains the delivery vehicle and storeroom equipment. Keep assigned vehicle clean and perform routine maintenance on forklifts, electric pallet jacks, push carts, and delivery flats. Perform vehicle check lists and inform supervisors of servicing needs. Organizes deliveries. Maintains and distributes supplies and equipment to clinical areas as requested. Performs duties in accordance with Independence Health System universal behavioral and customer service standards. Counts and par stock floors for the two-bin system, scanning floors and pulling par stock orders. Reports any bar codes that do not scan to the supervisor. Attends various education programs and performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualification High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education. Experience in inventory management systems and handheld computers. Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, and independent critical thinking. Excellent communication skills for complex topics to diverse audiences. Ability to drive a delivery truck with a hydraulic rear lift, and experience or training in operating a forklift and electric pallet jack. Basic math and keyboard proficiency. Knowledge of basic office equipment such as copier and fax machine. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Related training or experience within the past five years. License, Certification & Clearances Act 34‑PA Criminal Record Check from the PA State Police system. Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License (or required Department of Motor Vehicles record report for out‑of‑state hires and acquisition of a PA current driver license within 30 days of hire). Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need (rotate shifts, standby, on‑call, etc.).
