Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
This role is for a CNC Machinist working on either 1st or 2nd shift. You will set up and operate CNC equipment, demonstrate a clear understanding of how CNC machines function, and support day-to-day production needs across the shop. There is a significant amount of overtime and merit based raises. No cap on pay and a chance to join a rapidly growing industry with an industry leader.
Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to produce quality parts.
• Explain and apply a solid understanding of how CNC machines operate, not only the types of machines used.
• Perform machine changeovers, including tooling changes and adjustments, to support different jobs and production runs.
• Operate lathes and other machining equipment as needed to meet production requirements.
• Monitor machines during operation, make necessary adjustments, and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Perform basic mechanical tasks related to machine operation, maintenance checks, and troubleshooting.
• Clean and maintain the shop area to support a safe and organized work environment.
• Operate a forklift to move materials, parts, and equipment throughout the plant.
• Complete other assigned duties throughout the plant to support overall production and operations.

Essential Skills

• Hands-on experience operating CNC machines and the ability to clearly explain CNC machine operation.
• Experience with machine operating in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform changeovers on CNC machines, including setting up and adjusting tooling.
• Experience operating lathes and related machining equipment.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical systems and equipment.
• Willingness to clean the shop and perform general housekeeping tasks.
• Ability and willingness to operate a forklift as part of daily duties.
• Flexibility to work on either 1st or 2nd shift as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a machine shop or manufacturing plant environment.
• Comfort performing a variety of tasks across the plant to support production.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Currently working 6-7 10 hour shifts each week.

Shifts Available
6:00am-2:30pm, OT runs until 4:30pm
2:00pm-10:30pm, OT runs until 1:30am

• Employees typically work 7 days a week with every 2nd or 3rd Sunday off

Work Environment

• This position is based in a manufacturing plant and machine shop environment.
• You will spend most of your time on the shop floor operating CNC machines, lathes, and other equipment, and using a forklift to move materials
• The role involves standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and performing cleaning and general housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and orderly facility.
• Typical shop attire and appropriate safety gear are required in line with standard manufacturing practices.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $36.00/hr.
