Step into an impactful role as an Occupational Therapist providing essential support during a maternity leave coverage period for the upcoming school year. This contract opportunity runs from August 31, 2026, to April 2, 2027. Based near Elk River, MN, you will work onsite, supporting elementary students with a variety of needs. This fully onsite position spans Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours each week, within a collaborative educational environment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Minnesota OT license required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Able to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
- Strong communication skills to work closely with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Proficient in documentation and progress monitoring for school caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct assessments and re-evaluations as required
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to facilitate student success in the classroom
- Maintain thorough records of sessions, progress, and communication
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations to support student goals
- Implement interventions designed to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
