Embark on a rewarding assignment supporting student growth and development in a dynamic educational environment near Anoka, MN. This contract opportunity seeks three dedicated Occupational Therapists—two full-time and one long-term substitute—to collaborate with a passionate team for the upcoming school year. Begin making an impact from September 8, 2026, through June 10, 2027, as you provide essential therapy services directly within one designated school building. With a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours and a focused caseload ranging from 20 to 40 students (with a particular emphasis on "setting 4" students), you’ll play a crucial role in empowering learners to reach their full potential.
Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with prior experience in school-based settings
- Skilled in planning and delivering therapy for students ages 5-21 with diverse needs
- Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
- Flexible and adaptable to changing support requirements throughout the school year
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to identified students
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, collect data, and generate comprehensive progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to adapt classroom activities and environments
- Engage in team meetings, parent communications, and student planning sessions
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with school and district requirements
