Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students as an Occupational Therapist during a maternity leave coverage from August 31, 2026, to April 2, 2027. This onsite school-based role invites you to work with young learners, making a meaningful impact on their growth and independence. You’ll be part of a committed educational environment, providing essential OT services to help students reach their fullest potential.
Bring your expertise to a collaborative setting where your skills can shine! The position is Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, allowing for both structure and consistency in your weekly schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Occupational Therapist license (MN OT) in good standing
- Experience in a school-based OT setting, especially with elementary-age students
- Strong understanding of sensory integration, fine/gross motor skill development, and adaptive strategies for school environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and caregivers
- Detail-oriented documentation and case management skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school settings
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, interventions, and progress monitoring for elementary students
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with students’ IEP goals
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and implement OT strategies within classroom settings
- Offer support and education to staff and families regarding best practices for student success
- Maintain regulatory documentation and comply with all school, local, and state guidelines
