Job Summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking an Outpatient Neurologist to join Cape Neurology Specialists in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Cape Neurology Specialists offers a full spectrum of neurological services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Conditions treated include:

• Acute and chronic pain
• Alzheimer’s disease
• Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis
• Headaches
• Multiple sclerosis
• Neuromuscular disease
• Parkinson’s disease
• Seizures

In addition, patients have access to specialized care through our ALS clinic, a Certified Level 3 Epilepsy Center, the Spasticity Clinic, and a Certified Stroke Center.

Certification & Licensure

• Medical license in the State
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Controlled Substance license for Missouri and Federal DEA
• Completed an accredited residency program
• Active medical privileges and medical memberships
• Board Certified within 2 years of hire date

Responsibilities

• Join a Neurology group of 5 physicians (2 Neuro‑Hospitalists) and 3 APPs
• Provide care on the Neurology floor and Neuro PIN unit
• Use EMG/NCS, EEG, autonomic testing, and vestibular testing; ability to perform EMG/NCS is required
• Work schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm
• New patient visits: 30‑minute, established patient visits: 15‑minute
• See an average of 18–22 patients per day
• Use Epic as the EMR system
