Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Neuro ICU Travel Nurse

Schedule: Weekend nights every other week (Friday and Saturday nights); rotation every 4 weeks (estimated).

Assignment Details: Patient ratio: Estimated 1:1–1:2. Orientation and exact scheduling details will be confirmed by the manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Neuro ICU experience.
• Travel experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• Must be able to screen first-time travelers.
• Required certifications: BCLS (BLS), ACLS, NIHSS (AHA only).

Responsibilities:

• Manage patients with conditions such as ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, seizures, and neuromuscular disorders.
• Perform procedures including EVD/ICP monitoring, invasive neuromonitoring, and mechanical ventilation.
• Administer blood products and manage arterial and central lines.
• Titrate vasoactive/cardiac drips and continuous IV sedation.
• Conduct telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Provide post-operative neurosurgery care.

Compliance / Notes: Flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only). Candidates must complete fingerprints immediately after contract signing.
