Job Description
Title
Certified Nursing Assistant - Long-Term Care

Schedule
Full-time evenings (7.5 hours/day x 5 days/week) + every other weekend and holidays required.

Assignment Details
Contract Length: 14 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 37.5 hours/week

Requirements
- NYS Nursing Assistant Certification
- BLS Certification (must be through AHA or RQI)
- Minimum 1-year experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living needs including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care in accordance with care plans.
- Maintain safety and a clean environment for residents by responding to call lights, using safety equipment, and preventing falls.
- Support residents during mealtimes by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and honoring food preferences.
- Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs including range of motion exercises, transferring, and proper positioning.
- Take and accurately record vital signs, weight, and resident intake and output.
- Provide companionship and support to meet the social and emotional needs of residents.

Compliance / Notes
Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens may occur.
