Hardware Dev Eng II, Prime Air

As an Electrical Hardware Engineer on our team, you will be responsible for end-to-end hardware development lifecycle across design, validation, and manufacturing for flight-critical avionics systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams - including propulsion, structures, firmware, software, safety, certification, production - to meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.Key job responsibilitiesOwn product development lifecycle of hardware(s) within the avionics system.Develop and execute verification and validation test plans, including qualification and compliance against aerospace standards (e.g., DO-160, DO-254).Bring up EE hardware, validate interfaces, and unblock system integration across flight computer and connected sensor subsystems.Lead root cause analysis of hardware failures across hardware/software interfaces, develop corrective actions, and implement fixes in production hardware.Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Reliability (DFR) with fabrication, assembly, and qualification vendors.Lead manufacturing, in-service, and reliability initiatives for avionics hardware in production.About the teamPrime Air is Amazon's autonomous drone delivery service. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
