Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: IMC Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty License: State RN or compact RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required - Vent and transplant experience required - Completion of a telemetry test prior to starting required Description: This position involves providing nursing care to acutely ill adult patients. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment, caring for surgical and trauma patients. The schedule consists of evening and night shifts, with a commitment to work every other weekend and certain holidays. Candidates should be proficient in accessing and managing central lines, administering blood products, and managing ventilated patients. The ideal candidate must have experience with telemetry and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias. Skills in managing chest tubes, handling complex medications, and providing post-operative care are necessary. Nurses will work as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care. Experience in a Level I or II trauma center is essential. The ability to float to other units as needed is required. Additional responsibilities may include caring for patients with various medical diagnoses and comorbidities. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to advocate for patient needs. Professionalism and a collaborative approach are key to success in this role.
