Client Intake Specialist – Conflicts & New Business Intake A leading law firm is seeking a Client Intake Specialist to join its Conflicts & New Business Intake team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional with 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in law firm conflicts and new business intake . The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work directly with attorneys and staff to identify and resolve potential conflicts while ensuring accurate client and matter information. Responsibilities Conduct conflict of interest searches for new business and potential lateral hires. Analyze conflict search results and communicate findings and recommendations to attorneys. Process new business intake requests and assist with the opening of new clients and matters. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client, matter, billing, and contact information. Create and maintain matter numbers and administrative workspaces. Respond to questions from attorneys, legal assistants, and other firm personnel regarding conflicts and intake. Work closely with Records regarding matter closures, transfers, and file destruction. Monitor and close matters in accordance with firm procedures and e-billing/inactive matter notifications. Assist with maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the firm's conflicts database. Handle confidential client and firm information with the highest level of discretion. Participate in department projects and other initiatives as needed. Qualifications 3–5+ years of hands-on experience with law firm conflicts and/or new business intake required. Experience conducting and analyzing conflict searches is essential. Law firm experience strongly preferred. Experience with Intapp Open, Elite 3E, or a comparable conflicts/matter management system . Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Highly detail-oriented with strong follow-through and sound judgment. Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, legal assistants, clients, and other departments.
