Accounting Assistant

Job Description

Johnson Service Group is seeking an Accounting, Assistant in Orange County, CA. This is a Hybrid position
Monday-Friday 8am- 5:00pm
Pay rate: $30.00 per hour DOE


Required Skills:

• Daily in and out cash transactions reporting
• Data validation
• Assisting with month end close reporting
• Strong Excel Skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles
• Demonstrated integrity and a collaborative team mindset

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with insurance products such as vehicle service contracts or GAP insurance
• Prior experience in audit support and financial statement preparation

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics
• 1 year of experience in accounting, with industry-specific knowledge advantageous

Other Requirements a plus:

• Willingness to support month-end close, audit, and compliance activities
• Ability to prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed financial reports
• Occasional participation in control testing and audit processes
