Job Title: Lab Technician III
Duration : 6 Months
Location : San Diego CA

Shift: 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM (Night Shift)

Job Summary

Under close supervision, the Production Support Technician performs production support activities to help meet manufacturing goals while following established Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidelines. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates currently pursuing a degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field and looking to gain hands-on laboratory and manufacturing experience.

Key Responsibilities

Perform production support functions in accordance with GMP guidelines.
Execute moderately complex laboratory and production procedures following established protocols.
Assist in meeting daily production goals and quality objectives.
Operate laboratory equipment and use laboratory chemicals and tools safely.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and laboratory notes.
Follow detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Adhere to safety policies and proper handling procedures for laboratory materials, including potentially biohazardous materials.
Support manufacturing operations while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure production objectives are met.

Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a college or university pursuing an Associate's (AA/AS) or Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree in:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Biochemistry
- Biotechnology
- Microbiology
- Life Sciences
- Or a related scientific discipline
Laboratory coursework required.

Preferred Qualifications

0–2 years of laboratory or manufacturing experience.
Hands-on experience operating laboratory equipment and performing laboratory techniques.
Knowledge of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with Quality System Regulations (QSR), ISO standards, ISO 13485, and CMDR.
Experience using Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.

Required Skills

Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
Strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment

GMP-regulated laboratory/manufacturing environment.
Exposure to laboratory chemicals and potentially biohazardous materials while following universal precautions.
Strict adherence to safety and quality procedures is required.
