Senior Grants Accountant

Kforce's client, a well-established non-profit healthcare organization in the Greater Boston area, is seeking a Senior Grants Accountant to join its finance team. This position will play a critical role in grant budgeting, financial reporting, compliance, and funding administration while partnering closely with operational and program leadership. Summary: The Senior Grants Accountant will oversee the financial management of grant-funded programs, including budgeting, billing, reporting, compliance monitoring, reconciliations, forecasting, and audit support. This role offers significant visibility across finance and operations while helping ensure the successful management of complex funding sources. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage grant budgets and funding agency billings
• Monitor grant expenditures and support program leaders in budget management
• Prepare grant financial reports and compliance documentation
• Reconcile grant-related accounts and record journal entries
• Support audits, forecasting, and annual budgeting processes
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and funding agency requirements
• Perform financial analysis related to programs and growth initiatives

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of grant accounting, grant budgeting, or grants management experience
• Experience with federal and state grant compliance and financial reporting
• Knowledge of Uniform Guidance and Single Audit requirements
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting/ERP systems
• Ability to collaborate effectively with finance, operations, and program leadership
