Senior IT Support Engineer

iSoftStone, Inc. is seeking a Senior IT Support Engineer to Join our Team in Bellevue, WA! *This is a 6-month contract role which is 100% onsite* **Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role** Responsibilities: Daily IT and Network Operations Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize office network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi, VPNs, and network security devices) to ensure high availability and performance. Administer Windows server environments, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, and other enterprise collaboration platforms. Perform advanced system administration, configuration, monitoring, and preventive maintenance across office IT infrastructure. Employee Technical Support (L1/L2/L3) Serve as the primary on-site IT contact, providing advanced L1/L2/L3 technical support for employees. Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, operating system, network, authentication, and application issues with minimal escalation. Lead troubleshooting efforts for critical incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long‑term corrective actions. Manage IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including workstation provisioning (PC/Mac), software deployment, account administration, security permissions, and device lifecycle management. Mentor junior IT support staff and provide technical guidance when needed. Asset Management and Vendor Coordination Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and office equipment while ensuring compliance with company policies. Lead coordination with Internet Service Providers, hardware/software vendors, and internal infrastructure teams for issue resolution, warranty services, procurement, and infrastructure improvements. Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and operational improvements to enhance IT service quality. Data Backup, Security and Operational Excellence Manage and monitor backup systems and disaster recovery processes to ensure business continuity. Administer endpoint security, operating system patching, antivirus solutions, identity management, and access control. Support security incident response, vulnerability remediation, and compliance with corporate IT security policies. Identify opportunities to improve IT support processes, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance operational efficiency. Qualifications: Five+ years of hands‑on experience in IT Support, Systems Administration, or Enterprise Desktop Support, including experience providing L3 technical support in a corporate environment. Expert‑level troubleshooting of Windows and macOS operating systems. Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, wireless networking, and firewall fundamentals. Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, Intune, or equivalent enterprise cloud platforms. Experience supporting Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy, and enterprise endpoint management. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues. Fluent in English (written and spoken) with excellent customer service, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience driving IT operational improvements and implementing best practices. Strong communication skills with employees, leadership, vendors, and cross‑functional teams. Ability to prioritize multiple critical issues in a fast‑paced environment. Proactive, detail‑oriented, and highly service‑driven. Strong ownership, accountability, and follow‑through. Ability to mentor junior team members and lead technical initiatives when required. Preferred Qualification: Experience with PowerShell scripting or task automation.
